Apply for MechMania 2024

Welcome to the application process for MechMania 2024, hosted by Robots Live!

The show will be filmed across 4 Robots Live shows including the finals. 

Please ensure you robot applies to the Robots Live build rules as found below.

All Heavy Weight robots must attend a minimum of 2 heats, however it would be more advantageous if you attend all 3 heats, and if successful for the final, to be available for the final date. You may apply for the final event and if unsuccessful in qualifying for the final, you may attend as a Whiteboard competitor. However places may be limited.

Featherweights are eligible to apply for all heats. However the final will be reserved for all finalists. 

 

Applications close 31st May. However applications after this date will be added to a reserve list.

It is essential that your team members are the only inventors and creators of your Robot and you confirm here that you have not copied the design of anyone who is not on your team in designing and building your Robot.

Robots Live & Mech+ wants to ensure that the competition is fair and completed in good faith by all contestants. Therefore you confirm that you are not colluding with any other applicant team to ‘fix’ the programme competition and that your team is entering this competition independently, without collaboration with any other team or individual who is not a member of your team:

A consent form will be available which will allow you, your team and robot to be filmed and broadcast by Robots Live, Mech+ & Passion Distribution. These forms must be signed before filming starts.

Due to the nature of the live shows, some filming may take place post event. Are you happy to take part in these?
